An Essay Inspired by Scientist Dr David Suzuki

Our world is made up of Earth (the ground and all the water and elements), Wind (all of the air and gases that make up our atmosphere) and Fire (all of the energy from the sun and from combustion of elements).

All of these things exist in a delicate balance, a balance that is affected in part by what our species decides to do with it.

Right now, Fire is burning so bright that the Wind howls and the Earth is becoming scorched.

And we argue about whether the climate is changing as the seas are stripped of the fishes and the land is challenged to keep up with feeding the billions of people. A population that grows exponentially, faster than the planet’s ability to produce enough food to feed those hungry mouths.
